Helene Cronin

Helene Cronin is a songwriter and Texas artist. She is working on a new full-length record slated for 2022. Her 2019 album, OLD GHOSTS & LOST CAUSES,  was produced by Matt King in Nashville and received unanimous high praise from critics. In 2018 she was named a "New Folk Winner" at the prestigious Kerrville Folk Festival. Helene's artistry has drawn comparisons to Lori McKenna, Mary Gauthier, and other songwriters who are known for strong lyrics, honest perspectives and unique voices. Her style is a merger between Americana and Country but she describes herself simply as a "story-singer". Audiences are drawn to her intimate, personal performances and call her raw and vulnerable, saying, "her songs make me think".

Bernie Nelson

Seasoned seems to be the best way to describe Bernie Nelson.  Both as a writer and a performer. With over 30 million certified sales of songs he has written for some of country music's biggest artists, he has learned the craft of writing songs that last over time. He credits his close relationship with songwriting icons like Guy Clark, Red Lane, Steve Earle and Wayne Carson to name a few with his ability to remove the filters from his songs.

" Songs are nothing more then everyday conversations put to music"  is one of Nelson's favorite perspectives on songwriting.

As a veteran performer he is ever so comfortable while entertaining his audiences.  You feel like you are a part of the evening and equally connected to his rich history by way of his stories that Nelson paints during one of his shows.

It is an intimate connection that you feel right away.

Bernie Nelson, songwriter, artists interpreter of life.

Heather rayleen

Winner of the HoustonLive Songfest '22 Texas singer-songwriter competition Heather Rayleen.  Country Artist Heather Rayleen says most of her memories of childhood involve music in some way or another. As soon as she was talking she was singing and started performing at churches and rodeos as early as age 6. She also performed in the school choir and multiple talent shows. At age 11 she started learning to play violin in the school orchestra and continued through high school and played in the school Symphony. She quickly excelled and earned herself a scholarship to the school of music at Sam Houston State University. It was there that she broadened her influences of music and was invited to play 'fiddle' with the Scooter Brown Band. It was around that time that she was inspired to start writing her own music, so she borrowed her dads old guitar and started teaching herself to play. After playing with the SBB for about a year she began to perform solo and eventually formed her own band. Since then she has shared the stage and opened for several singer/songwriters then expanding into the opener for major national touring acts. Heather enjoys all genres in music and has a hard time pin pointing her exact influences, she just has a great love of music and especially enjoys performing. She hopes to share with the world her voice and the 'feeling that she gets in the pit of her stomach when she hears a great song.' Heather says her roots will always be country but she tries to bring together a little bit of blues, rock, folk and sometimes pop every time she performs.
